angela and neli are going to the movies they each bought a medium popcorn, amd neli got a small soft drimk Angela had a $10 gift certificate to put towards the coast and neli paid the rest which came to $1930 a movie ticket coast $9.00 and a medium popcorn coast $4.40 how much does a small soft drink cost at the theater

OpenStudy (imstuck):

If Neli had to pay the difference of $19.30 and Angela already put $10 towards it, that means they actually spent $29.30. The cost of 2 tickets is $18 so 29.30 - 18 = $11.30. They also bought 2 popcorns for $8.80. So $11.30 - $8.80 = $2.50. That is the cost of the drink. See that? Just work backwards.
