Given a cube with a volume of 36 cm3, what is the volume of a square pyramid that can fit perfectly inside the cube? 3cm3 6cm3 9cm3 12cm3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Each side of the square must be about 3.3 cm's to equal 36cm^3 So, for the square pyramid to fit perfectly, it must have a height and side length of about 3.3 Volume of Square Pyramid: \[V=a^{2}\frac{ h }{ 3 }\]Using that, you get about 12cm^3

*In the first sentence, cube, not square.
