Help I take the Math pert next week and i don't understand this

OpenStudy (marissalovescats):

Understand what?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

@masterchief609 do you know what a "perfect square trinomial" is?

OpenStudy (arbershabani97):

this is a very complicated version of quadratic formula, I'll try to find a link with better explanation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a trinomial with perfect squares?

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

yes

OpenStudy (arbershabani97):

that's all you really need, don't let others make it so complicated

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

arbershabani97 methinks is a proof

OpenStudy (arbershabani97):

yep, it's just proof on how you achieved it, but it's much easier just to use the formula, by only memorizing it

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

@masterchief609 anyhow, the procedure all is doing is "completing the square" by making the left side a perfect trinomial square I assume you've cover "completing the square" ?

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

anyhow... need to dash..... notice the "square completion" on say step 4 tis skipping something
