OpenStudy (anonymous):
Nazi Party of Germany (led by Adolf Hitler) engaged in the Holocaust in order to unite the citizens of Germany and find a common enemy. Nazi Party simply wanted a group of individuals to blame for the failure of Germany post WW1 and chose the Jewish population for this. What happened is that most of the Jewish population in Germany were dragged to concentration camps like Auschwitz and were murdered/abused.
