Given y = f(x - h)^2 + k where (h,k) = (2, -3) What is the parent function? Is the 3 translation vertical or horizontal? Is the 2 translation vertical or horizontal?

OpenStudy (imstuck):

The parent function is\[y = (x-2)^{2}-3\] This is a parabola with center at (2, 0). The 2, then, moves the center to the right 2 (or horizontally 2 to the right). The -3 moves it down the y-axis, or vertically. Get it?
