For a lab i got 6.132 as my actual and .386 as true and when i calculated for the percent error i got 1488% ... what does that mean??

OpenStudy (alphadxg):

A high percent error means that you answer and the accepted answer differ by a lot. And in your case, a lot. This could be good or bad.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do you know if its good or bad?

OpenStudy (chmvijay):

its not good :P its bad

OpenStudy (alphadxg):

@chmvijay sometimes it is good actually lol, but rarely. In my upper classes sometimes we had to work backwards to find the right Molarity and the higher percent error the better :P

OpenStudy (chmvijay):

how do u account for conservation of mass in this case ? :P
