well this is tricky because of the borders Lebanon elected a christian leader, shi muslim leader and a sunni muslim leader meaning all three were to represent each religious sect, so technically all three of those would be a minority, but shia muslims were thought to be the largest sect at the time so the answer should be shia muslims.
