HELP I WILL FAN AND MEDAL Compare the two servings of foods below. Which of the following will the serving on the left provide in greater quantity than the serving on the right? A. protein B. carbohydrates C. fat D. calories

OpenStudy (solidicecream):

Is there a picture?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea its some ice cream and some food

OpenStudy (solidicecream):

Can you give me the link of the other food.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i cant find it

OpenStudy (solidicecream):

Look up at your at the web link click on it and then copy and paste it on here.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which one is on the left and which one is on the rite

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the food is on the left and the ice cream is on the right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is either going to be fat or calories .... probably fat because of high trans fat saturated fat and calories from fat

OpenStudy (alphadxg):

Well, the Icecream I eat contains around 70g of Fat and 180g of Carbs, can you explain to us more about the other type of food?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ice cream kinda look like this

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the food kinda look like this

OpenStudy (alphadxg):

Well lets look at our options, the first option is proteins, well proteins are - chicken, fish, turkey, etc. Well Ice cream does not fit that definition so....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the other types of food would be your source of vitamins and nutrients so that is where you would get your proteins carbohydrates fiber iron and other essentials your body requires

OpenStudy (alphadxg):

Both contain Carbs, however Ice cream being high in fats are also high in Carbs compared to what you have on the right, and when ever you are eating lean (Like the picture) protein has fewer calories than fats and Carbs. Fats - 1gram = 9 calories Carbs - 1gram = 4 calories Protein - 1 gram = 4 calories Since we know icecream has lots of fats, we can rule out the last option also, because ice cream would have way more calories than the food on the left.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so C fat

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes that is correct ....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@alphadxg great job with your explanations :)

OpenStudy (alphadxg):

Wait, what? Left is the healthier food right? and the right is the Ice cream?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the answer Fat is correct ... that got confusing for a second
