Which will provide the most direct measure of pH by measuring the hydrogen ion concentration of a solution? A. pH meter B. litmus paper C. phenolphthalein D. bromthymol blue
Pick the one that isn't a chemical indicator.
Would it be C or D? @ghuczek
No, both of those are chemical indicators. All an indicator will tell you is if it is acidic, basic or neutral.
Ohhh so pH meter
A. pH meter - I have used this for the past 10 labs lol. B is just litmus paper, telling you if it is acidic or not, you put it in the solution and if it turns red, its an Acid, if it doesn't change color it's still a base. C is a indicator, used in titrations to change the color to indicate the ph (Rougly, not accurate like a ph meter) D is a pH indicator for weak acids and bases. Doesn't tell you the concentrations.
aka answer is A. pH meter, sorry I didn't make that obvious :P
pH meter - a rod you stick in the solution and records exactly what the pH readings are.
thats what i thought! Haha thank you! @alphadxg
