Need help with these questions please! Simplify (x - y + 1) - (x + y - 1). 2x - 2y + 2 -2y + 2 2y - 2 -2x + 2y Given: Q = 7m + 3n, R = 11 - 2m, S = n + 5, and T = -m - 3n + 8. Simplify [Q - R] + [S - T]. 10m + 5n - 24 10m - 5n + 24 10m + 7n - 14 10m - 7n - 14 Simplify {n - 1 - [n - 1 - (n - 1)]}. n - 1 -n - 1 3n - 3 -3n + 3 Given: Q = 7m + 3n, R = 11 - 2m, S = n + 5, and T = -m - 3n + 8. Simplify R - S + T. m - 2n - 2 -m + 2n - 2 3m - 4n + 14 -3m - 4n + 14 I only need the answer but if you could tell me how you got the answer I would appreciate it!
Algebra questions which involve you to use the order of operations to solve
Try splitting your questions in separate threads I'll help with the first: \[x-y+1-x-y+1=-2y+2\] distribute the negative and combine like terms
Thank you! @VeritasVosLiberabit

parenthesis, exponens, division, mult, addition & subtraction just always remember to do in that order and we will have no problems

I wish I knew the answers to this stuff :[ @dan815
math is pretty easy its like learning a language, its gonna feel hard but once you get fluent in math it will become like reading you will keep learning faster and faster
feel hard in the beginning only
For the second one, you want to substitute the values for Q, R, S, and T and solve the brackets separately before you subtract them from each other. So for example\[[Q-R] = [(7M+3N) -(11 - 2M)]\] After you distribute the negative sign you will have\[[7M+3N - 11 + 2M]\] and solving for that you will end up with\[[9M+3N-11] + [S-T]\]Do the same with the other values of S and T and then subtract the 2 brackets from each other to find your answer.
