Can someone tell me if my answers are correct for this question? Suppose that you are sitting in a chair on a Ferris wheel that has a diameter of 120 feet that is boarded 6 feet above the ground at the 6 o’clock position. If the Ferris wheel moves in a counterclockwise direction and makes one revolution every 12 minutes, how high will your chair be off the ground after 6 minutes? After 32 minutes? At 9 minutes, is your chair going up or going down?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for 6 minutes I got 59.24 ft for 32 minutes i got 55.33 ft and at 9 minutes i got your chair is going down

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

Let's try the first question. After 6 minutes, how much of the revolution has the Ferris wheel gone?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got 59.24 ft @mathstudent55

A person who boarded the Ferris wheel at 6 ft above ground and has gone for only 6 minutes is where? Copy my drawing, and show me where the person is at 6 minutes.

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

Great. Now let's see how high the person is at 6 minutes.
