oh yeah you're right sorry....

Simplifying
10 + -4x + -5x = -17
Combine like terms: -4x + -5x = -9x
10 + -9x = -17
Solving
10 + -9x = -17
Solving for variable 'x'.
Move all terms containing x to the left, all other terms to the right.
Add '-10' to each side of the equation.
10 + -10 + -9x = -17 + -10
Combine like terms: 10 + -10 = 0
0 + -9x = -17 + -10
-9x = -17 + -10
Combine like terms: -17 + -10 = -27
-9x = -27
Divide each side by '-9'.
x = 3
Simplifying
x = 3

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):
jinx, in you're first step, realize that you have a -4x on the right
so +4x when you bring it over to the left
so 5x + 4x + 10 = -17 could you go from there?
OpenStudy (acxbox22):
@jinxhead20²
