Help Find x and y intercepts

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To find the x - intercept let y = 0 and solve. To find y - intercept let x = 0 and solve.

OpenStudy (thatgirl3390):

f(x)=4x^2+8x-5

OpenStudy (the_fizicx99):

Of course batman would be the first one to answer this c;

OpenStudy (thatgirl3390):

is F(x) y?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah

OpenStudy (the_fizicx99):

To find the x intercepts they're implying to find the zeros or roots. 0 = 4x^2+8x-5 And basically factor that out, for the y intercept, it's just -5 because when you set everything to 0, 4(0)^2 + 8(0) - 5 = 4(0) + 0 - 5 = 0 + 0 - 5 = -5 >:3

If you want to, you can just use the quadratic formula if you don't like factoring.
