Need help creating a hook
did you read?
yeah ofcourse
so do what you are required to do
create an opening paragraph that responds to the prompt
If I can create the opening paragraph I can construct the rest of the essay
here is what I have so far I think I will use this for the thesis The authors of Calypso Borealis and “I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud,” not only through the diction , vocabulary, and syntax, but also through the impact of tone, and mood, and while both authors express their relationship in different ways there is still the essence of them impact on the audience.
that's a very long sentence, all run-on...this is my opinion. I think if you just opened your introduction with a "hook" or a sentence that captures the readers attention would be better. I better "hook" sentence i can give is: Two literary works best conveyed nature in their own manner, one called "The Calypso Borealis," an essay written by John Miller called and a poem written by William Wordsworth's called "I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud." -- From there, post this-The authors of Calypso Borealis and “I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud,” not only through the diction , vocabulary, and syntax, but also through the impact of tone, and mood, and while both authors express their relationship in different ways there is still the essence of them impact on the audience. and fix the the sentence avoiding run-ons that's the best i can give.
maybe you could start with an interesting fact to start off that might help
that is great Zale! Hold on while I construct the thing. Do you think you could proof it before I turn it in?
yeah i wasnt very helpful so sorry
I will, if you construct your paragraph by avoiding the additional comas so your paragraph doesn't contain a run-on sentence. So yeah, i can look at it.
How is this? These two literary works best convey nature in their own way, one through a poem written by William Wordsworth's called "I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud." and the other through a descriptive essay. The Calypso Borealis," by John Miller. Both author created specific work that captures the beauty of nature, while displaying their compassion and emotion for such beauty. They each capture the essence in their own way, one through a poem while the other through an essay , each using a their own descriptive imagery to cultivate the scenery and amazement of the experience. William Wordsworth and John Miller not only through the diction , vocabulary, and syntax, but also through the impact of tone, and mood, and while both authors express their relationship in different ways there is still the essence of them impact on the audience.
I noticed that you place periods instead of comas after the title "I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud."
and another period after The Calypso Borealis," by John Miller.
periods are placed only if the sentence has ended.
