a) draw the graph of the constraints and find the vertices of the feasible region b) use the vertices obtained in part (a) to determine the maximum and minimum profit x+2y< or =6 3x+2y< or=12 x> or = 0 y> or =0 P=2x+6y Please help!!!
Hi, I am not sure where to start with this problem. Do I need to solve the 2 equations to find the solutions 1st?
I don't get the part P= 2x+6y, what is it?
oh, the profit!! nvm
ok, to this problem, to me, the best way to solve is draw them out
From it, you have the vertices are (0,0), (0,2), (3,2.75), (4,0)
for b) the profit P is defined by 2x+6y, you just plug the vertices into the formula to find out which value is largest and which is smallest For example : at (0,2) P= 2*0+6*2 = 12 do the same with other vertices and compare them Got me?
