For question A, just plug in 240 for y. Solve for x using the quadratic equation. \[240=-x ^{2}+32x+9\] For question B, just plug in the second equation into the first equation and solve for x using the quadratic equation. \[8x+32=-x ^{2}+32x+9\] I get 11 days and 21days for question a. I get 1day and 23 days for question b.
