To increase muscular strength, use heavy weights (70-80% of maximum) and fewer repetitions? A) True B) False

False i have done power lifting for three years... on a weakly basis you want to use 65-75% of your maximum capacity every other day. you want to do 6 sets at 10 reps each rotating from different stations you dont want to do all the reps on one part of your body at once so you want to switch between upper and lower body between each set. on the in between days you want to do lots of stretching and body workouts without additional weights added so like push ups sit ups and other stuff also on the last day of the week you want to lift at 75- 85% of your maximum capacity to maintain you muscular abilities without straining them by lifting this capacity everyday.... this tends to weaken your muscles more than strengthen them because the are under constant stress .... hope this helped :)
