OpenStudy (mindblast3r):

how is it 2/7??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What do you mean? @Mindblast3r

Does anyone know this? I will fan and medal @Dannybrookes @dahmanman @Monster1234 @Mindblast3r @faylynn @bek_love

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it landing on a 6 is 1 out of 6, it land on a # other than six 5 out of 6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

probability is equal to success divided by success +failure. that means that on the spinner there are seven options. 2 of them are 6. so the probability of it landing on something other than a 6 is 5/7.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no it won't be 5 out of 7, it would be 5 out of 6 there's no 7!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

" The probability of a spinner landing on a 6 is 2/7. What is the probability that the spinner will land on a number other than 6?" 2/7 is the probability of it landing on 6. 2 is the number of success possible. 7 is the success(2) + the failures(5)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Did the explanation make sense to anyone?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

kinda.. i guess!! lolz

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay. do you understand where I got the 7 now?
