OpenStudy (anonymous):
the three triangles in the figure shown are similar. The sum of x and y is 25. How do you use proportions to find x and y. The picture show to triangles together which created 3 triangles. Bottom number is 20 and the side number is 15 and long side is x on one triangle and y on the other. Not sure how to get the proportions to find x and y.
