When you take the square root, cube root, etc etc you are actually taking it to the power of the fraction.. Sounds confusing I know.. So in the fraction, your denominator is the number that is your square root.. So if you/re taking the square root it's x^1/2, the cube root would be x^1/3, fourth root x^1/4 etc etc. The numerator is what it is raised to after you square it, cube it, etc etc. So square root of x can be written as: |dw:1401241018812:dw| Make sense?
