OpenStudy (j.f):

This problem is pretty easy but for some reason I seem to not be able to get the correct answer. Question: What is the numerical value of x^3z-3xy when x=2, y=4, and z=8? A. 32 B. 40 C. 88 D. 104

OpenStudy (sleepyhead314):

plug in 2 for x, 4 for y, and 8 for z so ((2)^3 *(8)) - (3*(2)*(4)) and use order of operations (PEMDAS)

OpenStudy (j.f):

the answer is 40 correct

OpenStudy (sleepyhead314):

yes :)
