how will fragmentation affect the mass spectrum of hydrogen chloride?

OpenStudy (anonymous):
if fragments of HCl occur then two peaks will be observed 1st at 1 (for H) 2nd at 35.5 (for Cl) but there will not be molecular peak of HCl because in fragmentation the molecule breaks due to which no molecular peak is obtained.
