Identify how the pronoun is used in the sentence. Marcy, please give this pizza to them. A) direct object B) indirect object C) object of a preposition

OpenStudy (juicstice):

I'd say that it's a direct object

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Juicstice can you explain why?

OpenStudy (juicstice):

sorry I was wrong it is a indirect object because The indirect object is the noun or pronoun that receives the direct object

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Juicstice From what I have learned an indirect object would not follow a preposition. (In our case 'to' is a preposition.) The word 'them' follows 'to' thus it is the object of a preposition. (I am not 100% sure though, not a native Englishmen.)
