A box contains 9 green balls, 16 red balls, 9 white balls, and 6 black balls. What is the probability of drawing a red ball out of the box?

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

\[\large Probability = \frac{\text{Outcomes you want}}{\text{Total Outcomes}}\] so the total amount of outcomes would be the total amount of balls...9 + 16 + 9 + 6 = ? and what we want....is 1 red ball...how many red balls are there to possibly pick up?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2/5

?

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):
