Which of the following chemical equations is correctly balanced? Select one: a. Na3PO4 + 3AgNO3 NaNO3 + Ag3PO4 b. CH4 + 2O2 CO2 + 2H2O c. 2Al + 6HCl 2AlCl3 + 2H2 d. 2AgNO3 + Cu 2Cu(NO3)2 + 2 Ag

OpenStudy (ipwnbunnies):

The equation is balanced if the same amount of "elements" are on both sides. For example, in choice C, you see there are 2 Aluminum either atoms or moles, whichever way you wanna look at it, on the left side. And there are 2 Al atoms or moles on the right side. The Al is balanced in that choice, but maybe not the entire thing.

So, based on that information, choice b is correctly balanced. Do you see why?

b. CH4 + 2O2 CO2 + 2H2O

Yes thank you
