NEED SOME HELP.. IDENTITIES
An identity is where A=B. Meaning some equation, A, is going to equal the other equation, B. Example: 2+2=3+1 Both sides equal 4. This is an identity. Hope that helps. Ask me more if you need help :)
thank you, do you know how to solve this? cos^4(2x)+sin^2(2x)=cos^2(2x)+sin^4(2x)
Recall that sin(2x) = 2*sin(x)*cos(x). Squaring both sides of the identity, we get sin²(2x) = 4*sin²(x)*cos²(x). Also recall that identity sin²(2x) + cos²(2x) = 1. Simplifying the LHS of the equation: 1 - 4*sin²(x)*cos²(x) = 1 - sin²(2x) = cos²(2x) Identity proved. I know its a bit confusing, but this is the answer. Hope that helps Lilimartdls:) Please fan me, I'm just new here. I signed up today. Thank you
