OpenStudy (.whitedragon.):

Which is not a solution to the equation 4x-y=5

OpenStudy (.whitedragon.):

A. (–6, –29) B. (–2, –13) C. (0, –5) D. (9, 41)

OpenStudy (kohai):

There's an easy way to do this, although it's a bit time consuming

OpenStudy (kohai):

So on the coordinate point, it goes (x, y). So that means that, for example, in (-6, -29), the x is -6 and the y is -29

OpenStudy (kohai):

So you plug it back into the original equation. If they wind up being equal once it's solved out, then it is a solution. One of these four points won't be a solution

OpenStudy (kohai):

How about you try that first one and I'll check your work? :)

OpenStudy (.whitedragon.):

ok i got a few more if ur up for it ?

OpenStudy (kohai):

You should close the question and open a new one. I'll check it out!

OpenStudy (.whitedragon.):

1st would it be D ?, thats what i got

OpenStudy (kohai):

Yup you're right!

OpenStudy (.whitedragon.):

yay

OpenStudy (kohai):

By the way, just for future reference, you should metal the people who help you. This shows that you really appreciate their hard work! Anyways though, you should hit close question and then report your next one :)
