what is a uniform magnetis field?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A uniform magnetic field has uniform magnetic field lines. They all point in the same direction. They are all the same strength where the field is uniform. This is shown on a diagram by having all of the magnetic field lines an equal distance apart.

Uniform basically just means "the same". For example, the gravitational field is uniform over the surface of the earth, because you weigh the same everywhere while on the surface of the earth. Similarly, some kids and people in the military have to wear a uniform. It's just one type of outfit that everybody wears, so you can sort of make the connection there.

It is where the magnetic field have the same magnitude and direction in a specific region. Hope that helps! :)
