Both the NATO and the League of Nations were setup by the United States in order to ensure security between nations. The League of Nations was a previsor to what we now know as the United Nations, which attempts to form neutrality among the nations. The NATO on the other hand, was a response to increasing Soviet aggression during the Cold War, also founded by the United States. It aims to keep the North Atlantic area secure as well.
