OpenStudy (texaschic101):
so we are graphing x + 3 = y ?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
yeah
OpenStudy (anonymous):
I don't know how to graph equations
OpenStudy (texaschic101):
y = x + 3
the slope is 1
the y intercept is (0,3)
the x intercept is :
y = x + 3
0 = x + 3
x = -3....the x intercept is (-3,0)
so plot your intercepts (0,3) and (-3,0)...now start at (-3,0) and since the slope is 1, go up one and to the right 1, and up 1 and to the right 1, and you will eventually cross the y axis at (0,3)
you will also notice your solutions...(-4,-1) and (-2,1) and (0,3) and (3,6) are also points on your line.

I would stay and explain more if I had time, but I have to go. I hope I helped some
