Ennumerate the functions of plasma membrane.

OpenStudy (alphadxg):

what do you think?

OpenStudy (alphadxg):

@Abhisar should help, I'm getting off

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Hello @swastiprincess ! Welcome to OS

OpenStudy (abhisar):

As @alphadxg said can u make some random guesses first about plasma membrane ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks @Abhisar

OpenStudy (abhisar):

thanx for what ?? I hvnt solved ur problem yet !

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know, you welcomed :D me !

The cell’s outer membrane made up of a two layers of phospholipids with embedded proteins. It separates the contents of the cell from its outside environment, and it regulates what enters and exits the cell. In animals the plasma membrane is the outermost covering of the cell whereas in plants, fungi, and some bacteria it is located beneath the.

OpenStudy (abhisar):

ohh..its okay..u don need to be thankful for that ! :)

OpenStudy (abhisar):

ryt lets see the function of cell membrane in lil more detail now 1) It physically separates the intracellular components from the extracellular environment. 2)It also plays a role in anchoring the cytoskeleton to provide shape to the cell, and in attaching to the extracellular matrix and other cells to help group cells together to form tissues.

OpenStudy (abhisar):

It is selectively permeable and able to regulate what enters and exits the cell, thus facilitating the transport of materials needed for survival.

great.. ! Thank you :)

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Anytime !

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sure.. I'll !
