To the sound of children singing,
A beautiful array of pitches; invigorating
and ? - ?.
A foliage of cultures instigate endless colours,
White, black, yellow, brown
Together united, singing the national anthem.

Listen.

To the sound of silence.
Rich harmonies of song fade,
Tall herds of diversity diminish,

Alas! I remain still. 
Solitary – a tree waiting for the wind. 
Soundless, though patient for inevitability. 
Soon 
Footsteps of various beings enter, 
Augmenting voices echo the vast hall,
My silence demands melody – feigned words 
Contradictory to aborigine belief.
My mind takes flight; a butterfly, 
Oppression – a river of emotions 
Anger, sadness, bewilderment – anxiety. 
Sorry Miss, 
This song isn’t for me.
