OpenStudy (secret-ninja):

How does circulation in the ocean move carbon in the carbon cycle?

OpenStudy (alphadxg):

Well, two forms. Photosynthesis and Cellular respiration.

OpenStudy (secret-ninja):

Can you describe it?

OpenStudy (karategirl2002):

Aerobic cellular respiration moves carbon from biotic sources to abiotic sources. More specifically, it converts organic carbon in glucose within organisms, to inorganic carbon dioxide which is released to the atmosphere. The atmosphere is thus the abiotic reservoir for carbon in terrestrial environments.
