-6g + 3g + 12 > -18 I know the answer is 10 but I forget if I'm suppose to flip the sign? Is it y<10 or y>10?

Never "flip" anything. Simplify your life by not having to remember. -6g + 3g + 12 > -18 Simplify variables. -3g + 12 > -18 ADD 18 -3g + 30 > 0 ADD 3g 30 > 3g Divide by 10 10 > g No "flipping" of anything. OR, this explains why the silly "flipping" is necessary and works.
