WILL GIVE YOU A MEDAL AND BE YOUR FAN!!! What is the structure of the sentence? The yellow kitten’s escape was short, for soon a little boy came and put the kitten back in the wagon. A. simple B. complex C. compound-complex D. compound

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

I am thinking that it is a complex sentence. The yellow kitten's escape was short (independent clause) for soon, a little boy came and put..... (dependent clause -- it cannot stand alone) I think " for soon " is a subordinating conjunction.
