Which example is an organism? A. bacteria B. heart C. clay D. soil

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, i am definitely not a Biology major, but i do know that an organism is defined to be anything that is living and can reproduce at some point, so from that, it's obvious that clay and soil aren't living, they are practically dirt, the heart does live to some degree, but it's not really something that reproduces, so bacteria are the only thing that really fit the organism definition

thx

OpenStudy (anonymous):

think of an organism as an animal, if it follows a lot of things that you know about animals, then it's an organism

OpenStudy (deepika.comet):

bacteria
