OpenStudy (shamim):

ok derivative of √x=(1/2)x^(1/2-1)

OpenStudy (shamim):

=(1/2)x^(-1/2)

OpenStudy (shamim):

=(1/2√x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you please use the equation format

Refer to the Mathematica attachment.

Square root is a good derivative to memorize :) You can rationalize it and apply power rule to the fractional exponent, but it comes up so often that it's worth stuffing into your brain. Derivative of square root x is 1 over 2 square roots of x

zepdrix (zepdrix):

\[\Large\rm \frac{d}{dx}\sqrt{x}=\frac{1}{2\sqrt x}\]
