The main issue with modernism altogether was that it wasn't being accepted by the masses. Modernism introduced a new style in the arts, and opened the door for new artists to be brave in their work. Sex, murder, death, identity, corruption, or anything else that was unlike the norm or anything that challenged what was conventional, was rarely accepted.
