Area = length x width. In a square, length and width are the same. So this square the area = 6m x 6m = xm^2. To convert to cm you have to know that there are 100 cm in a meter. So 6 meters to x cm would be 6 x 100 = 600 So now the area would be 600cm x 600 cm = xcm^2. (Or you could take your answer from the first area and multiply it by 100).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so with that logic, it's c correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I partially steered you wrong. You can't simplify the solution by multiplying the m^2 answer by 100. And no, the answer isn't c.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ahhhh I see it's b!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nope. What is 600x600?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

360000?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so D?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank u friend

OpenStudy (anonymous):

d

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Correct, it is D. Sorry I ended up steering you wrong in the middle there.
