hi again this is austin's, sammi is my sis and i need help on another prob. Hanna makes her own furniture polish using 25% vinegar and 75% olive oil. Write and solve an equation to determine how much total solution she made if she used 3 cups of olive oil. Show your work.
0.75 x Cups of furniture polish = Cups of olive oil 0.25 x Cups of furniture polish = Cups of Vinegar 3cups of olive oil/0.75 = 4 Cups of furniture polish
I dont get it
25% is 1/4 and 75% is 3/4
0.75 x Cups of furniture polish = Cups of olive oil 0.25 x Cups of furniture polish = Cups of Vinegar 3cups of olive oil/0.75 = 4 Cups of furniture polish
so if there is three of olive oil, you need one part of vinegar to make four cups of polish
do i get it know @sammixboo
yes thanks
you*
one cup of vineger
thx
Hey now it is Sammi, but actually the problem should be solved by this equation: a = p% x b a - part (3) p% - percent (75% = 0.75) b - whole (unknown right now) So now the equation looks like this : 3 = 0.75 x b And now solving it: 3 = 0.75 x b 3/0.75 = 0.75 x b/0.75 3/0.75 = b 4 = b
you be creeping me ? nick head?
haha silly
