The Europeans wanted spheres of influence in China to get rich off the opium trade and create colonies in China. So one point that is for supporting imperialism in China is that it made your countries richer because of opium.

Right, I've got that one. I should have specified (oops), I'm looking for more pros for China. As in why it was good for China to have the Imperial Powers in control
