A specific mutation in a certain animal leads to abnormal development of the heart and kidney, resulting in miscarriage. Why did this happen?

OpenStudy (somy):

a change in sequence of bases leads to production of different amino acid because different sequence of bases code for different amino acid thus if one base is changed we will get a different amino acid having different amino acid that we are NOT supposed to have - obviously changes some functions of the upcoming products (proteins) leading to abnormality in functioning or stop functioning that's why miscarriage happened

OpenStudy (somy):

heart's function is to pump blood around the body right? so if there is any abnormality that means the body will not get sufficient amount of nutrients and gases through blood kidney's function is basically filter the blood that is transported to get rid of unwanted stuff in your body, if it was to malfunction it can lead to loosing useful nutrients from body or not getting rid of unwanted stuff thus both of these together can actually lead to death as you see here the function of both heart and kidney is changed or stopped or slowed down this thing can happen even because of 1 change in base sequence meaning a different amino acid

OpenStudy (somy):

@Abhisar am i missing out anything?

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Nopes..u r crrct @Somy

OpenStudy (somy):
