The coordinate grid below shows triangle STU and its image after translation, triangle S'T'U': 4 quadrant coordinate grid showing two triangles. Triangle STU has vertices at S 5, 5. T is at 3, 1. U is at 6, 0. Triangle S prime T prime U prime has vertices at S prime negative 5, 8. T prime is at negative 7, 4. U prime is at negative 4, 3. Which coordinate rule represents the translation seen? (x, y) →(x − 7, y + 3) (x, y) →(x − 10, y + 3) (x, y) →(x − 10, y + 2) (x, y) →(x − 7, y + 2)
S(5, 5), T(3, 1), U(6, 0). S'(-5, 8), T'(-7, 4), U'(-4, 3). 3-(-5)=10. 3-(-7)=10. 6-(-4)=10. All of the X values add up to 10, correct? And it's moving from positive to negative, so it is...? 5-8=(-3), 1-4=(-3), 0-3=(-3). All of the Y values add up to -3, and it's moving from lower to higher numbers, which would make it positive. The answer is (x, y) --> (x - 10, y + 3)
ohohohoh ok thx. medal rewarded
