Can someone help me graph and solve these two linear equations? y=-x+2 and y=3x+10 Estimate the Solution

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To plot the lines simply but a value in for x and see what y is. Do this for 2 different values and connect the points. Example: y = x+2 If x = 1 then y = 3 If x = 4 y= 6. Thus the coordinates pf two of the points for this line are (1,3) and (4,6). Do the other equation the same way.

hero (hero):

For each equation, do the following: 1. Set x = 0, then solve for y. Your 1st point will be (0,y). 2. Set y = 0, then solve for x. Your 2nd point will be (x,0). 3. Finally draw a line through the two points. Once you do this for both equations, the graphs of both lines will intersect at a point which will be the solution to the system of equations: |dw:1401499130320:dw|
