A lab technician observes a unicellular organism with two long flagella and two nuclei in the blood smear of a person. To which phylum does this protozoan belong?

OpenStudy (abhisar):

It will be dinoflagellate

OpenStudy (koikkara):

Hai Sweet Friend, @4800GLO WelcoMe To OpeN studY !! @Abhisar hey, I have a doubt ....Are they found in the blood smear of a person as stated in question ? I feel dinoflagellates form one of the largest groups of marine eukaryotes, although this group is substantially smaller than the diatoms. Hmm but, Zooflagellata is a unicellular organism that has a tail-like protein complex that moves to make the cell move! Zoomastigophora is the phylum more commonly known as Zooflagellates under the Kingdom Protista. They are single-celled, eukaryote, and heterotrophic and may form symbiotic relationships with other organisms, an example of which is TrichomonasThey also may be parasitic, causing diseases such as the African Sleeping Sickness, caused by the zooflagellate Trypanosomaooflagellates all have one or more flagellas.
