Which of the following is not true for the equation y equals x plus seven? The output is 2 for an input of negative five. When the independent variable is 1, the dependent variable is 8. four comma eleven is a solution. When x is 3, y is 4.

Write the problem out mathematically, it says y equals x plus seven, so\[y=x+7\]remember that x is your input, so for the first question it says the input is -5, that means x=-5 plug that in and see if you get an output or y-value of 2, if you do, then that statement is true. A dependent variable is another way of saying the output, which as i said, was the y-value. That means that the independent variable has to be x, otherwise known as the input the third choice gave you a point on the graph, it's in the form\[(x,y)=(4,11)\]see if you can answer this now
