OpenStudy (anonymous):

how can I explain these with my own words? The experiment showed that adding iron to the sea can provoke phytoplankton to bloom, but not enough to cause major climatic change. Later experiments showed greater plankton bloom. Overall it supported the hypothesis, but it wasn't the final word. It is still unclear if it would be possible or ethical to provoke global plankton blooms to reduce atmospheric CO2

OpenStudy (mysangels):

The experiment presented to others that combining iron with sea water can cause phytoplankton to grow in small, harmless quantities, and following trials created more phytoplankton. This backed up the theory, just not as the concluding statement. It's still uncertain if we could grow global plankton blooms to take out carbon dioxide from the air. Just use synonyms to help create your own versions. If not, think of it as if you are giving this info to a little kid, but they can't understand complicated words.
