Here are 10 test scores: 50, 74, 76, 77, 78, 79, 80, 80, 82, 84. The mean of these scores is 76. How does removing the outlier 50 affect the mean?

If you remove 50 from the data. Mean will obviously change because Formula of mean =Sum of all the numbers/Total numbers.. If you remove 50 from the data. The total numbers will be 9 instead of 10. and mean will change, Geddit? @zharper12345678910
