It's just the quadratic formula, why not just plug in the variables your self and see?

-5 + 2x^2 = -6x 2x^2+6x-5 =0 a:2 b:6 c=-5 Plug the values in the formula which batman gave,and you will ofcourse get the right answer @trollface
