How would I find the limit of: lim x->3 (x-3)/(x^2-9)

OpenStudy (ranga):

Factor the denominator and cancel any common factor with the numerator and then take the limit.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(x^2-a^2) = (x+a)(x-a)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok i got 1/x+3 so do i substitute the x in the denominator and get 1/6 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ye
